United Airlines’ Analytics and Innovation team is hiring a Data Scientist to partner with business and technology stakeholders on AI and machine learning solutions that automate processes, improve customer engagement, and drive revenue. The role involves data analysis, model development, GenAI and LLM techniques, multi-modal model deployment, data pipelines, monitoring, research, and communication of insights. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or quantitative field, 0–3 years of relevant experience, programming and SQL skills, and knowledge of machine learning algorithms; a master’s degree and experience with deep learning, NLP, computer vision, LLMs, agentic frameworks, and cloud platforms are preferred.
