Away is hiring an Associate Design Director, Luggage to lead end-to-end luggage design and category innovation. The role manages seasonal creative direction, industrial design, material R&D, construction and manufacturing collaboration, prototyping, sampling, and commercialization, while building and mentoring a design team and improving AI-enabled workflows. It requires at least seven years of industrial design experience, proficiency in Fusion 360, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with overseas manufacturing partners. The position is office-based in Soho, New York City, four days per week, with a stated annual salary of $150,000–$160,000 and eligibility for a company performance bonus and equity grant.
