Description
AbbVie is hiring an Associate Director, Commissioning and Start-Up to provide operational leadership for commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities across manufacturing facilities, utilities, equipment, and related systems. The role develops commissioning and start-up strategies, leads HAZOP studies, ensures GMP readiness, manages risks and budgets, coordinates cross-functional and external teams, and supports the transition of new assets into routine operations. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or a related technical discipline, extensive pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead in a matrixed organization; it may require travel and extended hours during critical startup phases.
