Description

The AI Access Initiative is hiring an Associate Director or Director, Program Innovation & Evidence to lead testing and improvement of AI-enabled weather forecasts for smallholder farmers, develop new forecast types, evaluate delivery channels, support monitoring and evaluation, and build cost-effectiveness evidence. The role reports to the VP, Agriculture, manages at least one senior manager, requires extensive international travel, and is fully remote from anywhere in the United States. The expected salary is $142,000-$162,000 per year, with benefits including international health care, HSA/FSA options, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement matching, and leave.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7-10+ years of experience as a builder in international development, consulting, or an agriculture-adjacent organization
Experience designing and running randomized or quasi-experimental evaluations, especially to measure behavior change
Proven track record of scaling organizations or programs to deliver impact at scale, preferably with national governments
Experience leading international development programs from idea to scaled delivery and managing multi-stakeholder coalitions
Experience as a strong people manager and builder across distributed and field-based teams
Preferred Qualifications: Training or early career experience in a high-rigor environment
Strong fluency with AI tools and willingness to experiment with emerging technologies
Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, hypothesis testing, and adaptation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively internationally
