Description
The Associate Engineer, Building Optimization will support the Department of Citywide Administrative Services’ Division of Energy Management Operations Unit in managing technical building controls projects, reviewing controls designs and energy savings calculations, monitoring project performance and greenhouse gas reductions, coordinating with City agencies and contractors, and expanding a citywide building optimization program using preventative maintenance and advanced analytics. The role requires a mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechatronics degree plus one year of relevant experience, or a mechanical engineering technology degree plus three years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
