Description
The American Psychological Association is hiring a mid-level Special Counsel to provide in-house business and technology legal support for revenue-generating initiatives, artificial intelligence, digital products, cybersecurity, intellectual property, licensing, strategic partnerships, and corporate sponsorship. The role advises business teams and executive leadership, drafts and negotiates commercial and technology agreements, manages contract lifecycles, assesses legal and business risks, and supports responsible AI governance. It requires a law degree, active District of Columbia Bar membership or waiver eligibility, and 8–10 years of progressive legal experience, with 10–12 years mentioned in the opening.
