Westcliff University is hiring an Associate General Counsel to support the General Counsel in providing broad in-house legal advice for university operations. The role covers contract drafting and negotiation, employment and student matters, regulatory and accreditation compliance, governance, dispute management, privacy, data governance, emerging technology and AI issues, due diligence, and policy development. Candidates need a J.D., active California bar membership or equivalent in-house practice qualification, approximately 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, strong legal writing and analytical skills, and experience with business transactions and contracts. The position offers a salary of $150,000–$200,000.
