Description
This entry-level facility-maintenance role supports the General Support Maintenance Division in the City of Beaufort by performing field work involving light construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, building maintenance, and emergency response. The position prepares materials lists, maintains records, performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots systems, and may assist with traffic signals, street lighting, and other electrical and electronic installations. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of facility-maintenance or electronics experience, electrical and low-voltage knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a valid South Carolina driver's license within 30 days of hire.
