Canal Insurance Company is hiring an Associate Liability Claims Adjuster to analyze and adjust minor commercial claims. The role involves verifying coverage, investigating and evaluating claims, negotiating settlements, communicating with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, repair shops, and lien holders, monitoring independent adjusters and attorneys, and establishing reserves. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or three years of claims handling experience, an adjuster’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, at least two years of insurance industry experience, and intermediate computer skills. Occasional travel and work outside standard business hours or on weekends may be required.
