Description
The Associate Managing Editor manages assigned scholarly journals through the full publication lifecycle, coordinating editors, authors, reviewers, societies, and internal teams while ensuring timely issues, operational excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role also develops journal performance and visibility through indexing, abstracting, Impact Factor initiatives, promotional activities, reporting, contract management, and portfolio growth. Candidates need a postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Publishing, or a related discipline, plus 2–3 years of scholarly journal publishing experience, along with knowledge of publishing processes, peer review, contracts, and A&I databases.
