Description
The Production Engineer designs, develops, tests, and evaluates integrated production systems covering human work factors, quality control, producibility, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. The role gathers information from manufacturing, engineering, accounting, logistics, quality assurance, and other departments; resolves engineering and manufacturing problems; reviews drawings and engineering data; supports production planning and lead-time analysis; and coordinates with subcontract facilities. A bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field is required, with industrial engineering preferred and two years of experience preferred, preferably in a military aerospace environment. The role is based in Maryland and pays $79,000–$110,000 annually, with health and disability insurance and other benefits.
