The Associate Real-Time Trader is an entry-level front-office role trading physical power in the day-ahead and real-time markets and optimizing a generation portfolio across major North American power markets. The role involves bilateral transactions, position balancing, curtailment and re-supply management, trade capture, and communication with regional trading teams. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with power-market systems; training is on-site in New York City, with weekday shifts on-site and night, weekend, and holiday shifts potentially remote. The 12-hour rotating schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and the salary range is 110,000–115,000.
