Xero is hiring an Associate Security Engineer for its Security Defence team to help design, build, and improve security controls that detect, investigate, and respond to threats. The role focuses on monitoring and responding to alerts, contributing to SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and cloud security workflows, developing detections, integrations, dashboards, runbooks, playbooks, and automations, and expanding threat-intelligence-led detection engineering. It is based in the Melbourne office with a hybrid model allowing work from home and designated boost days in the office.
