Justworks is hiring an Associate Software Engineer for its Workforce Management expenses pod in Toronto. The role focuses on building expense submission, approval, and reimbursement platform features, contributing to a migration from Ruby to Go, developing AI-powered features, and shipping production code. The engineer will work with 3–4 senior engineers and collaborate with product partners, while using technologies including Golang, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, MySQL, Kafka, AWS, Git, Redis, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, CircleCI, and DataDog. The position requires at least one year of professional hands-on experience, knowledge of modern server-side languages and REST APIs, SQL proficiency, and curiosity about AI tooling.
