Wabash Valley Power Alliance is hiring an Intern Associate System Operator for a paid summer internship in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role provides hands-on exposure to a 24/7/365 Operations Center, including NERC and PJM certification requirements, transmission and distribution monitoring through EMS and SCADA, outage coordination, equipment monitoring, service restoration, protection relay troubleshooting, and operational planning for mobile substations and storm response. Candidates must be pursuing an engineering or engineering technology degree, with electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology preferred, and must be available for occasional 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends, plus occasional travel to member sites, substations, and investor-owned utilities.
