SMU’s Office of Legal Affairs is hiring an on-campus, in-person Associate University Counsel to advise University leadership and SMU Athletics on complex legal, contractual, regulatory, compliance, governance, employment, risk-management, and litigation matters. The role also involves drafting and negotiating commercial and other agreements, advising on Title IX and gender-equity issues, and supporting University operations. A Juris Doctor and at least three years of law experience are required; sports-law or collegiate-athletics experience is preferred.
