Description
Southern Methodist University is seeking an experienced student-centered leader to serve as Associate Vice President and Dean of Students. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, the role provides strategic oversight for student conduct, community standards, advocacy and support, the Dr. Bob Smith Student Health Center, and campus recreation and wellbeing education. The AVP-DOS will lead crisis response, regulatory compliance, student support systems, and partnerships across schools and campus stakeholders, while managing a student affairs team and advancing student success and wellbeing. The position requires at least 10 years of progressively responsible student affairs leadership experience, including crisis management, conduct systems, and institutional crisis response, along with a master's degree in a related field; a terminal degree is strongly preferred.
