AstraZeneca is hiring a Senior Data Architect in Osaka to bridge business requirements with AI-ready data platforms. The role designs and operates data architectures, metadata frameworks, semantic layers, ETL/ELT pipelines, and scalable data infrastructure for AI/ML and agentic AI use cases. Responsibilities include translating business needs into data models and architectures, building enterprise-scale data warehouses, evaluating new technologies, conducting proof of concepts, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires 10+ years of data architecture, data modeling, and database design experience, pharmaceutical or related industry experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data stacks.
