Description
The CDL Program Director leads the commercial driver license program, providing curriculum and subject-matter expertise, advising and retaining students, recruiting and developing faculty, monitoring program performance, and supporting continuous improvement. The role also requires driving and instructing students, performing vehicle inspections, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. It requires a high school diploma or GED, industry instruction experience, management experience, and the ability to qualify as a CDL driver and Driver Trainer; an associate’s degree or higher and prior program-director experience are preferred.
