The FAA attorney provides legal advice and counsel on international and national aviation matters, including foreign air carrier operations, U.S. carrier operations overseas, technical assistance, aviation safety, air navigation services, commercial space, and related international agreements. The role reviews and negotiates agreements, conducts legal research, advises agency and external stakeholders, and independently plans and completes complex legal assignments. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to and actively practicing before a U.S. bar, and demonstrate specialized international-law experience for the applicable band.
