Description
The Houston Chronicle is hiring an Audience Intern for its summer 2027 internship program. The role supports audience journalists by analyzing reader behavior, writing headlines and social content, creating newsletters, packaging stories for digital platforms, researching search trends, and developing strategies to reach and engage readers. Applicants must be juniors, seniors, or recent graduates with prior experience at a college news publication or professional news organization, have a laptop and Wi-Fi or hotspot access, obtain housing in Houston, and work at the Chronicle’s office at least three days per week. The internship is 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from early June through early August, with interns paid $15 per hour and occasional weekend coverage. Applications were due October 25, 2026.
