Description
Midstate Radiology Associates is hiring a full-time Authorization Coordinator to work on-site in Wallingford, Connecticut. The role obtains and follows up on insurance authorizations and eligibility for imaging exams, enters CPT codes, contacts insurance carriers, prepares authorization communications, handles denials and appeals, performs quality checks, and may schedule exams. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong knowledge of HMO insurance products, computer and organizational skills, and attention to detail; prior medical insurance experience is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, with starting pay of $21.00 to $26.30.
