Description
GastroMed is hiring an Authorization Department Manager to lead referrals and prior authorization operations across multiple locations. The role oversees authorization processes, insurance eligibility, scheduling, turnaround times, staffing, workflow improvements, and collaboration with revenue cycle, practice management, and surgical center leadership. The manager will also develop and coach staff, support employee engagement, and maintain patient-centered communication. An associate degree, 3–5 years of healthcare referrals or authorization experience, at least 2 years of leadership experience, bilingual English/Spanish ability, and EMR and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.
