Description
The Auto Body Technician assesses, repairs, and restores damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition in a collision repair shop. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, removing and replacing damaged sections, repairing dents and structural damage, replacing glass and interior parts, welding, painting, and inspecting completed work. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a technical school program or a three-year apprenticeship, and the ability to work safely in a noisy, odorous environment while lifting up to 30 pounds. Compensation is a flat rate of $26–$36 per hour, with medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance effective on day one.
