Description
The Auto Body Technician assesses, repairs, and restores damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition by disassembling and reassembling vehicles, repairing body damage, realigning frames, replacing parts and glass, welding, and repainting. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a technical school program, or a three-year apprenticeship, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision, use repair tools, inspect damage, and perform physically demanding work. Compensation is a flat-rate, performance-based structure estimated at $50,000 to $150,000 per year.
