The Automatic Door Technician installs, commissions, maintains, and repairs automatic door systems, including sliding, swinging, and revolving doors. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating with contractors and clients, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes, maintaining work records, and managing parts inventory. It requires 8–10 years of experience with automatic door systems and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, along with strong analytical, communication, and fieldwork skills; AAADM Swing and Slide Door Inspector Certification and a construction background are preferred. The position requires lifting and carrying equipment, working indoors and outdoors, climbing ladders, and enduring varied weather conditions.
