Re:Build Optimation is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer Co-op/Intern to support industrial automation projects from requirements gathering through design, programming, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting. The role involves developing control architectures, P&IDs, electrical drawings, PLC code, HMI applications, bills of materials, and project documentation, while collaborating with engineering, design, trades, and project management teams. The position is available for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2027 and requires on-site work in Rochester, New York and/or Rush, New York. Candidates must be pursuing a relevant engineering degree and have CAD experience; preferred qualifications include AutoCAD Electrical, PLC and industrial robotics experience, quality-systems familiarity, and continuous-improvement exposure. Compensation is $21.00–$25.00 per hour, with possible annual incentive and long-term incentives, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off benefits.
