Description

Blue Origin is hiring an Automation Controls Engineer for its Factory Automation Group to design, program, integrate, commission, and support custom automation equipment, robotic cells, PLC controls, motion systems, vision systems, and electrical panels. The role spans the full automation project lifecycle, including requirements definition, ECAD schematics, BOMs and technical documentation, prototyping, testing, fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and production support. Candidates need at least seven years of electrical and software design experience in automation, robotics, or industrial equipment, proficiency with ECAD and major automation platforms, PLC programming across Siemens, Beckhoff, or Rockwell systems, robotic integration, machine design, manufacturing processes, and industrial safety standards. A bachelor’s degree and experience with CNC integration, SCADA, 3D layouts, and robot simulation are preferred.
