Description
Azora is hiring a Lead Automation Engineer to build the automation backbone for its optical ground stations, enabling autonomous pass scheduling, calibration, health monitoring, fault recovery, and safe-state operations. The role covers hardware control software for telescopes, gimbals, weather sensors, and optical instrumentation; automated testing and built-in-test routines; monitoring, alerting, and remote diagnostics; interfaces between site and network automation; and software engineering practices including CI/CD and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The engineer will also lead and mentor a small team of automation and controls engineers. The role is onsite or hybrid in Tempe, Arizona or the Bay Area, California, with some travel, and offers equity, healthcare, a 401(k), and unlimited PTO.
