Description
Coherent Corp. is seeking an experienced test and assembly systems engineer to design complex laser assembly stations, develop LabVIEW and Python applications for laser assembly, alignment, calibration, testing, metrology, and database data collection, and simulate and program robot arms for assembly automation. The role also includes defining test requirements, creating validation plans, supporting legacy software, debugging designs, estimating schedules and costs, and collaborating with engineering teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer science engineering, at least five years of relevant test and assembly system development experience, sub-micron tooling and assembly expertise, vision and sensor integration, database interfacing, and working knowledge of laser safety.
