Continental is hiring an Automation Engineer to join its global team while connected to the Szeged Plant. The role drives electrotechnology for process and equipment development across rubber-processing technologies, including mixing, extrusion, calendering, assembly, confection, curing, and finishing. Responsibilities include defining equipment specifications, supporting supplier selection and acceptance tests, developing electrical concepts and PLC software, preparing tender documents, creating documentation, optimizing control processes, commissioning machines worldwide, and supporting plant launches and technology transfer. The position requires a degree in electrical or automation engineering, PLC programming, hardware design, motion control, and typically 8+ years of senior-level experience.
