FieldAI is hiring an Automation Engineer in Irvine to improve the reliability and performance of deployed autonomous robots. The role owns triage and resolution of autonomy issues, analyzes robot behavior and model outputs, curates and labels data, trains and evaluates machine learning models, and partners with data, modeling, deployment, and robotics teams to validate and ship improvements. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, strong Python and PyTorch skills, experience with C++ and production ML/robotics systems, and knowledge of ML data pipelines, labeling, evaluation, and deployment.
