Description
The employer is hiring an R&D Automation Engineer in Merelbeke to contribute to automation projects in the Research & Development department. The role involves programming PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA systems, developing and standardizing industrial logic, documenting work, and supporting project handover and aftercare. The engineer may work across process, discrete/motion, robotics/AMR, or custom machine-building domains and can progress to a senior coordination and management role. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree, 3–5 years of software experience, PLC and SCADA knowledge, and experience with Siemens automation technologies.
