Wabtec is hiring an Automation Engineer to assist the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in designing, installing, commissioning, testing, maintaining, and upgrading automated machinery and processes in a manufacturing facility. The role covers robotics, condition-based monitoring, material handling, project management, electrical and software systems, safety, and support for Lean Manufacturing. Candidates need a bachelor’s or associate/technical degree in a relevant engineering field, at least two years of industrial experience, automation and project-management experience, and strong programming, troubleshooting, and communication skills. The position requires shop-floor work, physical activity, and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and heat, with less than 10% travel.
