Description
SMS Group is hiring a Level 1 Engineer to design, program, test, commission, and service Level 1 control systems for rolling mill and other metals-industry installations. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field, at least five years of engineering experience in metals or a similar industry, and experience with programmable logic controllers. The engineer will collaborate with project, mechanical, and Level 2 engineering teams, conduct integration testing and on-site commissioning, train customer personnel, and service existing systems remotely and on-site. The position includes travel to Germany for six months of integration testing and to Louisiana, United States, for three to five years of commissioning.
