Description
Differential Bio is hiring a Lab Automation Engineer to own the development of its end-to-end lab automation platform, including automated fermentation systems, robotics, liquid handling, sensors, mechanical and embedded systems, and related hardware. The role involves translating wet-lab workflows into reliable, scalable automation, making build-versus-buy-versus-modify decisions, prototyping with 3D printing, integrating industrial automation technologies, and improving reliability, throughput, maintainability, and cost. Candidates should have at least four years of experience in lab automation, robotics, or similar hardware projects, or an equivalent track record of serious hobby projects, and should be comfortable with robotics, sensors, actuators, mechanical design, electronics, embedded systems, and cross-functional collaboration.
