Hunter Douglas is hiring an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated systems for manufacturing and operational initiatives across North America plants. The role leads automation and controls projects, programs PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, VFDs, and industrial networks; manages project scope, budgets, timelines, vendors, and cross-functional integration; and supports startup, validation, and continuous improvement. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of manufacturing controls or automation experience, strong PLC and industrial-network expertise, and willingness to travel 35–40% across the United States, Mexico, and vendor locations. The position offers an annual base salary of $97,000–$131,000, a 20–30% bonus target, and medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
