Nidec Conversion is hiring an Automation Technician for its Genova site. The role involves defining functional requirements and operating specifications, issuing detailed specifications, developing software code, and testing and verifying software modules. The position requires a degree in electronic engineering, automation engineering, physics, or mathematics, or a high school qualification in automation or electrical technician work, along with 3–5 years of software development experience. Required technical skills include PLC and HMI development, IEC 61131-3 programming, industrial SCADA, communication protocols, networking, and electrical sensors, with Siemens PLC and TIA Portal experience preferred. The role requires travel away from Italy and abroad approximately 30% of the time.
