CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate III in Rochester, New York, to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition used vehicles across a wide range of makes and models. The role includes working on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems; performing state safety and emissions inspections when required; collaborating with a skilled team; and following environmental, health, and safety requirements. Candidates need experience with steering and suspension or brakes, knowledge of repair standards, physical ability to lift heavy objects and work on their feet, strong communication and attention to detail, and a valid driver’s license. ASE certifications are preferred where required by state or local law. The position pays $31.61 to $46.35 per hour.
