Description
The Automotive Technology Instructor prepares automotive students for entry-level employment through classroom lectures, laboratory projects, curriculum development, student evaluation, mentoring, job placement, industry partnerships, and program accreditation. The role works in shop and classroom environments, may supervise student employees, and requires an AAS degree in Automotive Technology or a related discipline, five years of automotive technician experience, and ASE Master Technician certification. Preferred qualifications include lead or supervisory experience, a state-certified automotive apprenticeship, and secondary or post-secondary teaching experience.
