STR is hiring an Autonomy Algorithms Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems for autonomous platforms. The role provides technical leadership and mentoring across the software and system development lifecycle, with work spanning mission planning, automated control, unmanned platforms, DevSecOps, and CI/CD. The position is based in Woburn, Massachusetts; Arlington, Virginia; or Dayton, Ohio, with flexible hybrid work and remote work when facilities are not required. Candidates need a security clearance, a BS in computer science or a related field, at least five years of experience, and three or more years with C++ or Java, along with backend algorithmic, autonomy software, and system-architecture experience.
