Shield AI is hiring a full-time Autonomy Engineer to design and integrate tactical autonomy algorithms for unmanned aircraft and other platforms. The role covers motion planning, behavior architectures, multi-agent coordination, hybrid rule-based and machine-learning methods, high-performance software, simulation and flight testing, mission-data analysis, and defense-program adaptation. Candidates need a relevant BS/MS or equivalent experience, typically 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, C++ and Python proficiency, robotics and unmanned-systems expertise, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. The position includes approximately 10–15% travel and offers a base salary plus bonus, benefits, and equity.
