Shield AI is hiring an Autonomy Engineer to design and integrate tactical autonomy algorithms for unmanned aircraft and other platforms. The role covers planning, decision-making, behavior architectures, multi-agent coordination, hybrid classical-control-and-machine-learning systems, software development, simulation and field testing, mission-data analysis, and defense-program adaptation. Candidates need a relevant BS/MS or equivalent experience, typically 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, proficiency in C++ and Python, robotics and unmanned-systems expertise, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance or higher. The position requires approximately 10–15% travel and offers a full-time regular employee package with pay, bonus, benefits, and equity.
