Shield AI is hiring a full-time, regular employee to lead the technical delivery of complex autonomy capabilities for V-BAT and X-BAT expeditionary platforms. The role owns flight-autonomy interfaces, payload and multi-agent integration, systems architecture, release readiness, flight testing, customer demonstrations, and operational deployments, while partnering with aircraft, autonomy, perception, GCS, strategic systems, feature crews, and customer stakeholders. The position requires a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience, at least seven years of relevant experience, expert C++ and Linux development experience, complex autonomy or embedded software integration experience, experience influencing technical direction across engineering teams, operational test or customer-deployment experience, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Preferred qualifications include Group 3 UAS or VTOL aircraft experience, custom autopilot integration, EO/IR or ViDAR integration, long-endurance ISR missions, Docker, ARM embedded systems, and CI/CD experience.
