DoorDash is hiring an Autonomy Platform Engineer to build and evolve the foundational software for its robotics and autonomy stack across robot and compute platforms. The role develops runtime, middleware, platform services, sensor enablement, process orchestration, observability, diagnostics, data capture and replay, and deployment tooling, while collaborating with autonomy, firmware, electrical, hardware, manufacturing, and validation engineers. It is a hybrid position with some in-office and some remote time, requires strong C++ and Python experience along with embedded Linux, robotics, or complex mechatronic systems experience, and offers a base salary of $137,400–$202,000 USD depending on the work location.
