Description
Shield AI is hiring a full-time Autonomy Software Engineer to develop tactical autonomy software for unmanned platforms across air, land, sea, and space domains. The role focuses on multi-agent coordination, behavior planning, target engagement, reconnaissance, survivability, motion planning, optimization, and integration with sensor, state estimation, communications, and actuation systems. The engineer will contribute across the software development lifecycle, support reusable autonomy frameworks, collaborate with product and program teams, and travel up to 20% for integration and testing. The position requires a relevant advanced degree, production-level C++ development, at least five years of experience in autonomy-related software systems, collaborative development experience, and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.
