The First Nations University of Canada is hiring an Autonomy Strategist for a 2.5-year full-time term at the Regina Campus. Reporting to the Director of Autonomy, the role will develop a multi-generational vision and strategic plan supporting academic independence, create an organizational framework and roadmap for autonomous academic systems, engage Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and other stakeholders, and collaborate with university units on standards, accreditation, and systems. Applicants need an undergraduate degree, preferably a Master’s degree and five years of related experience, along with knowledge of First Nations cultural protocols, Indigenous governance, university administration, and decolonizing education. The position is an APT Grade 7 role with a salary range of $77,294 to $104,137 and closed on September 29, 2026.
