Latitude AI is hiring an individual contributor to lead autonomy systems engineering for L3/L2+ autonomous vehicle systems. The role covers defining operating domains and vehicle behavioral requirements, developing hardware and software architectures, establishing systems and functional safety approaches, designing fail-safe and fail-functional architectures, and evaluating in-car systems. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, or equivalent advanced degrees with fewer years, along with automotive or robotics experience, autonomy-systems knowledge, requirements and metrics development, data-driven testing, programming, and ISO 26262 safety-architecture experience. The position is full-time, offers California base salary of $218,240–$327,360 USD, and provides visa sponsorship.
