Description
The Assistant Principal Oversight Inspector (APOI) serves as a full assistant to a Principal Inspector, performing certification, surveillance, and inspection duties for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees. The role supports the establishment of inspection and surveillance work programs, ensures organizations comply with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, conducts enforcement investigations and emergency suspensions, approves manuals and training programs, evaluates operations and facilities, and monitors safety trends. The position requires U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver's license, English fluency, and the ability to perform the duties safely; flight-oversight applicants must also meet specified pilot experience, flight-hour, and Airline Transport Pilot Certificate requirements.
