The Assistant Principal Maintenance Inspector serves as a full assistant to a Principal Inspector, performing certification, surveillance, and inspection duties for assigned air carriers, air operators, air agencies, airmen, and designees. The role oversees maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration, airworthiness, training, recordkeeping, manuals, MEL approvals, and compliance with 14 CFR, while coordinating with FAA and industry stakeholders. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid state driver's license, and meet specified medical requirements; aviation safety inspector experience and FAA airframe and powerplant ratings are required for the air carrier maintenance specialty.
